Introduction

Basic Java

Welcome to Java Hub!

Every Java development professional and great architect once started their journey too. The language, the JVM, Spring, databases, multithreading, tests — for a beginner, it is not clear what to tackle first. That is normal. Our course is designed specifically to turn this set of topics into a clear path.

Here we do not collect definitions for the sake of definitions, as is done on most educational resources. The goal is to gradually learn to understand code, see the connections between topics, and figure out why a program behaves the way it does.

As you move through the course, you will:

  • learn Java from basic constructs to the JVM internals and multithreading;
  • work through small examples instead of long code listings without context;
  • reinforce topics through practice and return to anything that has not fully clicked yet;
  • build your knowledge into a system that will be useful both in projects and in interviews.

How to get the most out of the course

The routine is simple: study a topic → practice with practical exercises → return to the difficult part if something is still unclear. You do not have to master a topic perfectly on the first try. Java rarely becomes clear after a single pass — the details usually fall into place when you start encountering them in different contexts.

Do not learn the course as a list of facts. If, after a topic, you can explain the main idea in your own words and recognize it in code, that is already great. Accuracy and speed will come with practice.
